More and more commonly nowadays we are getting calls where cars electronic steering locks have failed and are not just for one or two brands but a wide range of car brands as more cars nowadays move away from the traditional key ignition system to a keyless type starting system.

At this point of finding Keys4Cars you have more than likely had your car towed to the dealerships and have been quoted a frightening amount in the thousands... Noticing that this is becoming a regular problem Keys4Cars have sourced a wide range of replacement ESL emulators or components to combat this issue. When correctly installed and programmed where applicable these emulators mimic the original ESL and allow you to get back on the road quickly, affordably and reliably as the emulators do not have the faulty parts that fail in the original ESL units.
*The emulators replace the steering wheel lock meaning the wheel will no longer lock when the car is off but as all of these vehicles use an immobiliser security system the car can not be started without the correct key being in the vicinity/used.

Most Common brands of cars we have replacement emulators for are: Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler, Mercedes, BMW/Mini, Nissan, Hyundai, Volvo

Some vehicles like the Mercedes need programming with the security data, if you are not based in Tauranga you can send us the key, ignition EIS lock and we can extract the security data from them, program the new emulator and test in the workshop with our Mercedes test cables before sending back to you.
